You’re Not Alone

Ever ‘felt’ rejected by the Lord? I have.
Ever ‘felt’ you’re at your lowest point in life and it’d only take God to bring you through and He doesn’t (at least not immediately)? I have.

The Psalmist perfectly captures our emotions at such moments:
“O God, you have rejected us, broken our defences; you have been angry; oh, restore us. You have made the land to quake; you have torn it open; repair its breaches, for it totters. You have made your people see hard things…”
(Psalm 60:1-3 ESV)

You see my friend, there are times God allows us go through hard times.
There are times God doesn’t show up the way or time we expect.
Two people pray for a job; to one He gives a job, to another He gives grace to send another application, thereby teaching patience and dependence on Him. But to both, He provides; one a job, another grace!

I encourage you tonight, don’t give up. Yes I know life is tough, but giving up will make an already challenging situation even more difficult and hopeless. But hope gives you a reason to live and try again.

Do you feel rejected? The Lord will restore.
Do you feel like your defences are broken? The Lord will rebuild and preserve.
Are you at the point of significant challenge? He’s holding you right now and will repair the broken breach.
And He hasn’t left you alone… You will never walk alone… He promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5)
The path of your life today may seem lonely, but you’re not alone.

The Psalmist ended the chapter thus:
“That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer us! Oh, grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes”
(Psalm 60:5, 11, 12 ESV)

Read it this way; once upon a time, you felt rejected and broken but God is saying He will give you victory over your enemies and you will do well. Go on and show some courage in faith; there is definitely hope for you.
